Chapter 42 The Reality of Being - 42. The source of manifestation

Updated: Jun 23, 2024

The life force within us is always at work, constantly manifesting through our thoughts, feelings, and actions. However, we often aren't aware of this force. To truly engage with it, we need to be consciously present and recognize how we identify with it.

First, we need to acknowledge that this life force is continuously active. It's what drives everything we do, think, and feel. This constant activity is something we usually take for granted, but it's essential to recognize it as a distinct force within us.

Next, we must identify the ego, which is the persistent "I" thought that underlies all our manifestations. Understanding this ego involves recognizing how often we fail to remain present and how easily we become absorbed in our thoughts and actions without real awareness.

To truly understand and work with this life force, we need to resist identifying with it. This means consciously separating ourselves from the automatic forces that drive us and becoming aware of both the force and our response to it.

Staying present is also about maintaining the right attitude. We need to observe how our attitudes change and resist the force that pulls us away from the present moment. This requires continuous effort and awareness.

Moreover, there's a finer, more intense energy beyond our ordinary self. Recognizing this higher energy can lead to a deeper sense of self-affirmation and presence. This process isn't easy and requires repeated efforts to stay present amidst the constant drive for activity. But through this ongoing practice, we can refine our sense of presence and engage more fully with the life force within us.
